Swallow Some Seeds

When I was a little girl, I was told that seeds could germinate from my belly and become trees. So I tried my best to not swallow them, or better still avoid them completely.

As I grew up, I knew better and often referred back to that tale as a “big fat lie”. Was it? Now that I’ve given thought to it, there just might be some molecules of truth enshrouded by that ball of lie.

What do I mean?
Our minds are like fertile ground and like every other land, you can choose to nurture it into either a healthy garden or a poisonous one. It all depends on what specie of seed you sow; it depends on what breed of words you swallow.

When people throw condescending words at you or even when your thoughts betray you and allow these unhealthy phantasms to sneak in, you can choose to act like the little girl. Spit them out or avoid them.

Why? Because if you continue to ruminate on them, you begin to conform to those negativities subconsciously as you have given them enough room to thrive and expand their roots. These toxic roots infuse doses of “I can’t” into your belief system which in turn affects your productivity.

That being said, what kind of seeds will you swallow today?
